      A Day in the Life and the Impact You’ll Make:

      The Area Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of each station within their assigned area/geographic region. The Area Manager is responsible for the profitability of the area. The Area Manager must ensure each station is staffed properly and the daily sales reports, cash and credit card deposits are made in a timely manner, for his or her assigned area. Additionally, the Area Manager will assist Human Resources and management with hiring, training, and handling employee relations matters, as required.

      What You’ll Do:

      • Ensure stations are open in a timely manner and operating during posted hours
      • Verify all inspectors are performing their daily and weekly tasks completely and in a timely manner.
      • Ensure each location is in compliance with established state laws and regulations.
      • Ensure all stations are meeting DEKRA standards
      • Complete weekly employee scheduling and maintain changes in the company’s time and attendance system.
      • Meet all goals for Revenue and EBIT, monthly, quarterly and yearly.
      • Schedule training as needed for all employee in assigned area.
      • Facilitate and implement changes as needed per DEKRA management.
      • Partner with HR and management on performance management, staffing, hiring, onboarding and training responsibilities.
      • Ensure the station’s reports are submitted on time to the corporate office.
      • Ensure daily cash receipts from stations are collected and deposited in a timely manner.
      • Monitor stations’ supplies and keep stations adequately supplied to ensure continuous operation
      • Review and submit related supply invoices and Purchase Orders to the State Manager in a timely manner and within two weeks of purchase.
      • Minimize employee shorts, bad debt, and theft issues as much as possible
      • Support and work with the State Manager as needed ﴾budgeting needs, operations‐related activities, customer service issues, implementation of station marketing campaigns, etc.﴿
      • Attend program staff meetings and/or other company meetings in support of overall company goals for the program.
      • Perform other duties as assigned

      What You’ll Bring:

      • Must maintain a valid inspection License
      • General business and safety inspection understanding.
      • Retail and service sales experience
      • Proficient knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office products
      • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization
      • Ability to effectively communicate with external customers
      • Knowledge of principles and processes for delivering and maintaining excellent customer service
      • Must display professional and ethical conduct at all times
      • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
      • Minimum of 3 years as an Area Manager
      • Minimum of 3 years of prior Emissions/ Safety Inspection experience
      • Associate's degree in business or other related discipline preferred OR related experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

      Physical Considerations:

      • Minimal physical exertion required.
      • The position may require an employee to lift up to 50 pounds.
      • Required to stand for long periods of time.
      • Employee may be exposed to weather conditions and to work site hazards including but not limited to noxious chemicals, gases, fumes and misc. materials.

      Travel Considerations:

      • Ability to travel within assigned state as needed; estimated up to 75%.

      Compensation:

      The base pay for this position is $50,000 annually to $65,000 annually. Actual pay is based on several factors including market location and position-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
