      Schedule: Full-Time

      Salary: 1403-1753 USD

      THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

World Vision's ministry in Cambodia focuses on improving the lives of the poorest children and their families. WVI-C works to empower our staff and the communities we serve to take part in building a better future for Cambodian children. The communities World Vision works with, with long-term ‘Area Programmes’ (APs), across Cambodia are normally based on geographical districts within a province.

      WVI-C works in around 40 Area Programme offices implemented transformational development projects in partnership with local actors, including local Government. World Vision’s national strategy from FY20-FY22 focuses on three child focused objectives - Integrated Nutrition, Education, and Protection & Participation under three corresponding Technical Programmes. World Vision also implements three supporting approaches Advocacy, Economic Resilience and Livelihoods, and Disaster Risk Reduction, in order to contribute to the well-being of children in the community.

      The role of the Area Programme Manager is to lead the quality programme implementation of WV’s child-focused on development programming in the assigned AP, which contributes to the increasing Child well-being impact, especially to the most vulnerable children and their communities. The AP Manager is the delegate to represent WV’s leadership to local authorities and other relevant partners including other organizations, private sectors, churches and other faith-based groups within the AP operational area. This role represents World Vision’s Vision, Mission and core values both internally and externally in all aspects of their work

      MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Lead Area Programme planning: Lead the community engagement process and the adaptation of Technical Programmes in the Area Programme.
      • Manage projects effectively: To ensure that programmes and projects are producing quality outputs as required by National Office Technical Programme and Community Engagement and Planning (TP/ CESP) Our Vision: Our Vision for every child, life in all its fullness.       • Manage resources: To provide strategic leadership and oversight to all projects funded by either sponsorship, grant and/or Private Non-Sponsorship (PNS) in the Area Programme office. Grant Management: facilitate the appropriate integration and smooth implementation of private and grant-funded projects within the assigned Area Programme Office.
      • Manage sponsorship integration: Manage quality and accountability in sponsorship, and oversee sponsorship standards and compliance in the Area Programme Office.
      • Negotiate and manage multi-level partnerships: Manage, model and support effective partnership implementation, work with both internal/external stakeholders and partners to build quality relationships. Network to achieve enhanced programming quality at WVI-C Operating District, and accomplish child wellbeing objectives in the target area.
      • Ensure team effectiveness: Influence, lead and grow others, build trusting relationships with staff, motivate staff, facilitate teamwork, and promote innovation and continuous improvement. Be a role model and provide team spiritual nurture to living out our Christian faith, calling with boldness and humility.

      REQUIREMENTS

      • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Rural Development and Social Science, development studies, Business Management etc.
      • Master’s degree in Development Management, Rural Development and Social Science
      • 4+ years’ experience in the NGO / development sector (in the area of project management, donor financial management).
      • 3+ years experience in leading and managing teams, (supervisory role)
      • Experience with training & coaching staff in technical skills and required competencies.
      • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with government and NGO partners and stakeholders.
      • As part of the World Vision Cambodia mandate requirements for new staff, all candidates who are offered jobs are required to produce a Local Police Clearance Certificate prior to the date of joining in the organization.
