Job Description

- Sign-on Bonus: Up to $5,100.00
- Department: Security
- Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours weekly, 8 hour shifts 11pm - 7:30am, weekends required, days off to be determined
- Hospital: Ascension Via Christi Hospitals
- Location: Wichita, KS
- Perform proactive monitoring of and timely response to potential/actual security threats.
- Investigate, document and manage security incidents and hazards.
- Maintain knowledge/follow policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans.
- May facilitate planned drills and simulations.
- Provide information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.
- Security Guard obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Drivers License credentialed from the Kansas Department of Motor Vehicles required.
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Law Enforcement preferred.
- Management of Aggressive Behavior credentialed from the Management of Aggressive Behavior Training International, Inc preferred.
- Security Professional preferred.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
- Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience preferred.
- Conflict resolution experience is a plus.
- Security Guard obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Drivers License credentialed from the Kansas Department of Motor Vehicles required.
