Job Description

- Candidate must be a qualified (within the last two years, without a substantive post) as a General Practitioner with GMC Registration and Registered on the National Performers List.
- Must be Membership of a recognised Medical Defence organisation (for non-state backed provisions) This will be reimbursed by the Surgery.
- Evidence of continuing professional and personal development, GP Appraisal, Revalidation Certificate (when appropriate)
- A good understanding of patient centred approaches to care
- Time management being able to prioritise and work under pressure
- Management of clinical paperwork for patients
- Preferred experience of System One Clinical System if necessary, training can be provided.
- Self-motivated and reliable with excellent organisations skills and communication skills with patients and all colleagues
- Friendly and approachable manner with good people skills and a good Team player with respect for all members of the GP SurgeryTeam

Main duties of the job
Ideally we are looking for 7-9 sessions per week but fewer sessions would be considered for the right candidate. Our Surgery welcomes both newly qualified GPs and those who wish to further their career

Job responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified GP (within the last two years, without a substantive post). This is subject to NHS Guidance and Funding. As an ARRS GP you will contribute fully to the clinical workload of the Surgery providing consultations, undertaking patient-related administration and providing clinical advice and support to medical and nursing colleagues/staff. In addition to this, the Surgery will support you in the opportunity to take on a speciality role of your interest.
A ARRS GP will work within a contractual framework. You will have an allocated area of clinical responsibility/expertise in which you are expected to develop a lead for the Practice and ensure high standards of service quality and delivery in respect of our NHS contract, directed and enhanced services and the quality outcomes framework.
You will participate in activity that supports the Surgery involvement as an active member of ICB and our Primary Care Network.
We are seeking doctors who will be committed to contribute to our work to maintain quality standards in primary care, help us develop services targeted at health promotion and disease prevention and maintaining or increasing patient satisfaction scores at or above national average levels.
You will be expected to do clinics with face to face consultations, telephone consultations and home visits and participate in team development activities.
