Job summary
Are you a newly qualified GP (within the last two years, without a substantive post) looking for an exciting and supportive role to launch your career? Health Alliance Primary Care Network is seeking enthusiastic, forward-thinking GPs to join our team on a fixed-term salaried contract until 31 March 2026. We offer up to 8 sessions per week, with the possibility of contract extension once further guidance from NHSE is available.
You can apply for a Part time or full time position.
You'll have the unique opportunity to work across our 3-6 practices, all of which are rated "Good" or "Outstanding" by the CQC, with one being a training practice.

Main duties of the job
As a GP with Health Alliance Primary Care Network, you will play a vital role in delivering patient care, following the GMS contract and Enhanced Services objectives. Key responsibilities include:
Conducting routine and urgent appointments, both face-to-face and via telephone, ensuring high-quality care.
Prescribing according to local and national guidelines.
Handling home visits for routine and emergency cases.
Managing administrative tasks, such as letters, results, referrals, and emails, in a timely manner.
Making appropriate referrals and managing related admin.
Checking and signing repeat prescriptions to maintain care quality.
Providing cover for colleagues in emergencies, considering individual commitments.
Participating in on-call sessions as per pro-rata hours.
Supporting Extended Hours services, enhancing patient access.
Collaborating with other health and social care providers to deliver integrated care.
Maintaining accurate consultation records using the Emis system.
Offering clinical support to colleagues, helping the team meet high standards in patient care and QOF/Enhanced Services targets.
This is a dynamic role that offers both patient care and team collaboration in a supportive environment.
