      Job summary

      We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated GP to join our friendly and supportive PCN for 4-6 sessions per week.

      Contract based on BMA contract.

      • Salary 11k per session.
      • Holiday entitlement - 6 weeks plus one study week per annum pro rata
      • Inclusion in the NHS Pension
      • Tier 2 visa (if needed)

      Main duties of the job

      You will be working within a well functioning team of GPs, ANPs, Nurses, HCAs, Clinical Pharmacists and Administrative staff. We recognise the need for structure, recognition and development of our staff.

      • Work in accordance with the practices timetables
      • The delivery of highly effective medical care to the PCN population
      • Effective management of long-term conditions
      • Process administration tasks in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated tasks
      • Undertake same day triage (on a rotational basis)
      • Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
      • Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
      • Ensure best practice following clinical guidelines, policies and practice protocols
      • Contribute to QOF requirements with accurate record keeping and coding
      • Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
      • Contribute effectively to the development of the practice including clinical governance, training, financial management and HR
      • Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
      • Prepare and complete the revalidation process
      • Dedicated to self-learning and continuing professional development

      • - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including accurate documentation of clinical notes.
      • - Able to work autonomously and as part of multidisciplinary team.
      • - Clear commitment to delivering quality and patient focused services.
      • - Record of on-going CPD and learning.
      • - Experience of working in urgent care and, or a primary care environment
      • - Experience of dealing with a range of clinical conditions and providing home visits
      • - Proven ability to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of own clinical practice.
