Job Description

- The holder of this position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
- Carry out planned maintenance jobs as per OEM Standard and work order completion.
- Keep equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, and replacing filters and other repairs
- Maintain excellent customer relations through frequent communication.
- Prepare accurate service and repair reports in a timely manner.
- Comply with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards
- Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using provided Electronic Scanners/Diagnostic tools.
- Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs.
- Repair and service all light vehicles, generators, welding machines and related equipment within the established standards.
- Performs any other reasonable duties as instructed by the Supervisor.
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
- Craft Certificate from recognised institution
- A member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
- Valid Driver’s license
- Detail Orientation
