      Reuters is looking for an innovative and energetic Graphics Editor to direct our graphics coverage in Asia. The candidate will lead a diverse team of award-winning graphics journalists, developers and illustrators across the region. The candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities and a passion for nurturing talent to drive team success.

      The editor will be expected to work swiftly with little supervision under tight deadlines, generating original ideas for visual projects. The editor will also art direct and help to create long-term initiatives.

      In addition to technical know-how, candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills. The post requires the ability to collaborate with graphics colleagues in other regions as well as photo, video, text reporters, and editors around the world.

      About the Role

      In this opportunity as Asia Graphics Editor, Reuters, you will:

      • Art direct outstanding visual journalism projects
      • Generate original ideas for graphics and manage areas of coverage
      • Work to a range of deadlines, from breaking news to enterprise
      • Understand the graphics file and envision how to represent news graphically
      • Lead and represent the graphics teams in Asia
      • Manage and mentor a diverse team of individuals


      About You
      You're a fit for the role of Asia Graphics Editor, Reuters if your background includes:

      • Experience in project management and running visual teams
      • Extensive experience in newsroom data visualisation or graphics teams
      • Experience creating cutting-edge online visual journalism
      • Technical mastery of creative applications and knowledge of web development fundamentals
      • Strong interpersonal skills
      • Enthusiasm, curiosity and numeracy
