5+ years of experience with ASIC layout and design
5+ years of experience with design EDA tools, such as Cadence or Siemens
Experience creating summary reports and briefings and presenting them to Government clients and at technical conferences
Knowledge of advanced ASIC design verification methodologies, such as OVM or ABV
Knowledge of hardware description language coding
Ability to interpret requirements and specifications to develop digital designs from block level to top-level Si fabrication technology
Ability to perform analytical calculations of packaging performance, provide accurate technical assessment of various approaches, and incorporate these into technology roadmaps to guide industry activities
Ability to understand defense needs for advanced microelectronics packaging, evaluate the performance of various technologies and vendors, and define a technology and business roadmap that defines the path forward to senior stakeholders
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
Experience with ASIC layout and design for large commercial IDM or fabless company
Experience in digital layout and digital on top methods
Knowledge of hardware description language coding using Verilog
Knowledge of backend gate level implementation
Knowledge of verification
Possession of excellent written and oral communications skills
Secret clearance

ASIC Design Engineering Consultant, SeniorKey Role:
Serve as an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) design engineering consultant. Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise to defense clients in the areas of IC design, EDA vendor management, IP library management, chiplet disaggregation, and chiplet communication standards. Identify and assess the performance of IC design houses and current FPGA, GPU, and CPU IP architecture technologies against defense needs and requirements. Define strategies and technology assessment methods to enable shared understanding of defense semiconductor objectives, testing and evaluation of those technologies, and development of roadmaps, business models, and technology models for improved access and collaboration in the future.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
