Work Shift: Monday – Friday, 6 AM-2:30 PM plus overtime as needed.
Pay: The hourly pay rate range for this position starts at $20.00 + benefits. Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is specific to Kirkwood and may not be applicable to other locations.
Responsibilities
• Verify materials being used is correct by reading the bill of materials
• Ensure materials meet quality expectations
• Label units as needed
• Door assembly is more complex and higher-level skill is needed
• Ensure quality is met
• Assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units
• Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
• Verifies that components are being placed in the correct position per SOP
• Repeats tasks until assigned other duties
• Cleans up work area when shift ends
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
• Solid verbal and written communication skills and basic math skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail a must
• Strong analytical skills & knowledge of all door components
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task
• Read and understand bill of materials
• • Must be able to lift up to 75+ lbs.
• Efficient with multiple manual machines and pneumatic equipment such as Nail Gun, Screw Gun, Router, Tape Measure, Square
• • May involve some repetitive motions - bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers and standing for long periods of time.
•Ability to organize and maintain detailed records
• Due to the open environment of the facility, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold
• Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service.
• Follow all operational and safety SOP’s as written
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred not required
• 1-2 Years in the field or related area
• Requires an understanding of quality door construction standards and the use of proper assembly techniques
• Prior door manufacturing or wood working experience needed.
