      As an Assembler , you will perform the fabrication, processing, lay-up, assembling, mating, and bonding of complex honeycomb, adhesive bonded, thermoplastics, and/or composite sub-assemblies/assemblies & surface treatment and cleaning of metal by various chemical processes.

      What YOU will do:

      · You will follow methods and sequence of work operations from blueprints, operations planning, engineering orders, specifications, etc., to fabricate, lay-up, assemble, install, and mate honeycomb, adhesive bonded and/or composite assemblies.

      · You will locate , fit, tape and coordinate core and detail parts on structural members, adhesive bond, and composite components.

      · You will apply parting agent and perform bagging and vacuum blanketing, etc.

      · You will prepare parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies for cleaning, masking, racking, stringing, and loading in baskets and/or racks.

      · You will mask and prepare parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies for protective coatings, primer, and final topcoat paint.

      · You will mix primers and paints to specifications ; a pply alodine , brushes, sealant; bake or dry parts and assemblies; locate and apply decals and stencils ; and perform cleaning process operations.

      · You will o perate drying ovens.

      · You will mix sealants and adhesives; remove cured adhesives, flash control tapes, etc.

      · You will identify all types of aircraft components by using electoetch or vibroetch machines, electric pencils, steel and rubber stamps, stencils, stencil guns and numbered tags.

      · You will requisition, receive, store, issue, route, and move; locate , identify , and follow-up actual and potential shortages of tools, parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.

      · You will p erform moving, storing, receiving, shipping, preserving, packing, packaging, crating, and issuing of materials, parts, tools, etc. in all areas of the plant.

      · You will w ork from such documents as tool orders, shortage reports, and assembly/detail shop orders.

      · You will k eep necessary records to reflect the status of all jobs.

      · You will o perate non-licensed lift trucks of any capacity .

      · You will c onnect and disconnect vacuum lines to bond jigs as required .

      · You will c heck accompanied documents against submitted materials to insure accurate documentation and conformance .

      · You will u se specialized machine attachments, standard tooling, and other machine aids.

      · You will u tilize and operate overhead crane s and loading equipment in conjunction of performing noted work.

      · You will w ork from blueprints, sketches, and other authorized documents.

      · You will d ocument necessary daily records for Title V compliance.

      · You will u tilize and enter relevant data in computer-based data systems. Examples include SAP (or equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning System), Solumina (or equivalent Manufacturing Execution System) and RMAT (Riverside Material Tracking System).

      · You m ay participate in Kaizen events on a voluntary basis.

      · HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is require d .

      Qualifications you must have:

      · U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required .

      · A pply a thorough knowledge of aircraft assembly, adhesive bonding and composite assembly practices, specifications and procedures , and chemical processing practices and procedures.

      · Read, interpret, and obtain information from blueprints, planning sheets, standard work sheets, sketches, loft boards, ECA's, MRB dispositions, specifications, and other authorized documents.

      · S et-up and operate different types of painting equipment, sealing equipment, identifying equipment, resistance welding machines.

      · A pply thorough knowledge of production control, material control, tool control, routing and parts handling methods and procedures.

      · A pply a thorough knowledge of shipping, receiving, preserving, packing crating, storing packaging, issuing of materials, parts, and tools, etc.

      · A pply a thorough knowledge of safety practices and procedures.

      The salary range for this role starts is $21.63 - $48.05 per hour. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
