Job Purpose
Create, review and approve, routings(Manufacturing process instructions), and/or DCP and manufacturing documentation SWI. Provides tooling, equipment, producible reviews and other technical support to project teams, business teams and manufacturing teams in a concurrent engineering environment that will enable products to be cost effectively manufactured in the REMS Plant. Supports daily needs of manufacturing as an engineering resource.
Assists in QN (Quality Notification) resolution, conducts Root Cause Analyses as required, develops and approves Standard Work Instructions, defines and implements process improvements, maintains area layout, and improves Jig tooling as required. Ability to train others in the application of manufacturing/engineering practices as related to an area of specialty. Beginning to understand peripheral specialties and products.
Understands the components of departments or project priorities related to the work being performed. Understanding customer requirements and able to create manufacturing documents used for production. Performs as a process owner. Actively starts to recommend improvements base on Value stream. To design the flow and maintain the layout. Actively works with supplier and customer requirements. Primary contact/person responsible for the readiness of assembly, testing and equipment.
Job Description
Standardizes processes for manufacturing core products and redesigns processes to improve throughout and manufacturing costs. Develops routings and manufacturing documentation, designs tooling and equipment.
Supports assembly operations with expendables ordering and invoicing. Update area metrics to identify areas for improvement. Reviews routings, DCP, materials and tool lists prior to release for manufacturing approval.
Creation of manufacturing documentation DCP and SWI for use in production areas. Coordinates with area supervisor for on boarding of new personnel within manufacturing. Acts as a technical resource providing guidance and expertise for team members in their daily technical work.
May occasionally be called upon to fill in or help handle excess workload demands. Leads and facilitates continuous improvement thru; SIFP, QIPPs, and Lean initiatives. Standardizes processes for assembly core products and redesigns processes to improve throughput and manufacturing costs. Identifies and requests tooling, test plan, gauges and fixtures to support the manufacturing or products.
Provides Assembly manufacturing support as needed. Understanding of customer requirements and ability to identify deviations as they occur. Ability to train others as related to and area of specialty. Provides support to manufacturing personnel and teams in a concurrent engineering environment. Provides manufacturing support in the identification, procurement, and management of assembly tools for production.
Provides technical support to Project and Business Teams and performs manufacturing engineering activities in a concurrent engineering environment. Performs special projects to support business objectives as required. To adhere company HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) policy, rules & regulations. To integrate HSE as part of the job function. Perform Gap Analysis of relevant machining industries standard or TechnipFMC machining specification meet process. Perform the readiness task as per Manufacturing readiness level (MRL).
You are meant for this job if:
Bachelor's degree in engineering with two to five plus years of relevant experience in specialized area or product line(s).
Detailed knowledge of at least one TFMC or related product line and general knowledge of several lines.
Some knowledge of systems and application.
Basic knowledge of competing and alternative technologies.
Ability to read, understand and create manufacturing drawings.
Must be proficient in use of CAD, schematic and TCE Database systems related to Engineering functions.
Shows evidence of good organization and project planning skills.
2-5 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, quality, testing instrument for all types of oil and gas components.
High level of experience in reading and understanding the consequence of tolerance setting both GD&T, ASME & GPS- ISO.
Experience in oilfield equipment and knowledge in ASTM, ASME IX, API and NACE standards will be distinctly advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to independently create and implement functional and cost-effective processes that meet complex specification requirements.
General understanding of internal economic factors (cost, margins, profit impact of decisions) affecting assignment areas.
