      Responsibilities

      • Operate hand, air, battery, and torque tools to assemble, fit and adjust components per work instructions, prints, D-sheets, and /or production order specifications.
      • Follow work instructions, control plan, prints, D-sheets, and/or production orders to ensure parts are assembled to production specifications, utilize pre and post operation checks to verify.
      • Move fixtures, materials and lift trucks using hoist, manipulator, bridge crane, tugger/assembly cart, and overhead guard carts.
      • Perform daily lift truck and hoist pre-operational safety checks.
      • Communicate with Group Leader regarding irregularities of the assembly process to insure continuous workflow.
      • Maintain quality of product while keeping a takt time.
      • Use laptop to program lift trucks per work instructions, prints, D-sheets, and/or production order specifications.
      • Use computer and printer to print capacity/data labels for lift trucks per work instructions, prints, D-sheets, and/or production order specifications.
      • Train operators as required.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications

      • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
      • Occasionally bend, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, kneel, balance, and push/pull. Frequently lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Must be able to see, hear, and do simple but firm grasping with both hands.
      • Must be able to work in an environment that is moderately noisy and includes exposure to vibration, dust, solvents, grease, oil, and paints. Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.
      • Read and understand drawings, prints (both metric and standard), Bill of Materials, and Production Order Travelers along with basic math including decimals.
      • Must be able to communicate verbally and in written form effectively with other people.
      • Must be able to demonstrate mechanical abilities and aptitude. Must be able to remember, reason and analyze
