Job Description

- Assembly and test miscellaneous sub-assemblies and hand pallet trucks.
- Fit and adjust parts according to specifications.
- Inspect parts for defects.
- Repair defective assemblies.
- Perform pre and post checks.
- Perform rework as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas (5S).
- Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Crown’s safety rules and regulations for each task performed. To prevent the risk of injury, report unsafe conditions and do not perform unsafe acts.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Related work experience preferred.
- Read blueprints, bills of material and shop packets. Count, some simple addition and subtraction, simple reading, reason, and analyze. Must be able to complete 2-4 tasks at a time. Must be able to work in an environment of relative isolation. Perform basic tasks every day and follow well established procedures. Work according to detailed, daily, or standard instructions.

Per 8-10 hr., shift (stand up to 8 hrs., walk up to 1 hr., sit up to 1 hr.) occasionally (reach above shoulder level, work with arm outstretched, work above chest level, push/pull, and balance), infrequently (bend/stoop/twist). Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (occasionally from 0 to 20 lbs. and infrequently from 20 to 40 lbs.). Must be able to see, distinguish colors, do continuous simple and firm grasping and frequent fine manipulating with both hands, and use feet to operate foot controls. Must be able to work in an environment that includes exposure to moving machinery, heat and temperature changes, hot parts, dust, shavings, grease, oil, hammering, epoxy resin, solvents, plastisol silicone and adhesives. Must be able to work with vibratory tools. Must be able to safely work in areas of lift truck traffic. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines; using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
