      Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Technician- Weekly Pay!

      Job Description

      Are you mechanically inclined and seeking a foot in the door with an exciting, innovative, tech-forward company? As a manufacturing and assembly technician, you will work in a team environment on the production floor. Your responsibilities will include assembly, fabrication, paint, or other production areas, ensuring safety, quality, and standard work protocols are followed. You will use basic tools to accurately assemble purchased and manufactured parts into finished products. This role will primarily encompass the frequent assembling of three different sub-assemblies, with pipe fittings accounting for more than half of the work.

      Responsibilities

      • Support work area safety, cleanliness, material usage, and shop organization.
      • Perform production assembly work, rework, troubleshooting, in-process repair, and documentation of assembly improvements.
      • Perform equipment setup, operation, adjustments, and minor preventative maintenance tasks to meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
      • Regularly assemble pipe fittings and perform additional sub-assembly and final-assembly mechanical tasks.
      • Document results during and post-engineering development builds in a clear and concise manner.

      Essential Skills

      • 2+ years of experience with heavy mechanical assemblies.
      • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
      • Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, models, and work instructions.
      • Basic computer literacy.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience with hydraulics or hydraulic assembly and pipe fitting is highly preferred.
      • Experience with operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
      • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
      • Ability to work on platforms above 10 feet.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
      • Excellent attention to detail, organization, analytical and reasoning skills.
      • Ability to work with others in a cross-functional team environment and follow both written and verbal instructions.
      • Comfortable with frequent change of direction and dynamic work environment.

      Work Environment

      Work Monday to Friday, 8 am-5 pm, with some overtime and Saturday work possible. The facility is a combination of climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly areas, with climate-controlled offices and break rooms. Please note that the facility may be warm in the summer months due to limited HVAC capacity. The role begins as a 5-6 month project with the potential for extension and conversion to full-time based on performance.

      This is a Contract position based out of Austin, Texas.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
