Job Description
- Req#: JP-005276451
- Obtain work instructions from the Build Book program on the computer to assemble all required parts.
- Follow engineering drawings and bills of materials, requesting parts from the Parts Department as required.
- Lay out truck details per engineering prints on a job-by-job basis.
- Perform final assembly of all units, including hoods, electric, lights, and stickers to customer specifications.
- Prepare trucks for sub-frame assembly by disassembling, measuring, repositioning parts, installing parts, and reassembling units.
- Test assembled parts or products to ensure proper functionality and quality.
- Comply with workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and procedures.
- Maintain tools and the work space in good condition.
- Perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned.
- Minimum 6 months of hands-on mechanical work experience.
- Experience with heavy mechanical equipment is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to learn blueprints and schematics.
- Basic math knowledge.
- Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge is preferred.
- Possession of own tools is preferred.

Work Environment
Work in a 1st shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with occasional flexibility required for earlier start times. The role is based in a large, clean manufacturing facility consisting of multiple bays, each equipped with computers for accessing parts ordering and blueprints. Be prepared to work around large booms in a louder work environment. The facility includes separate buildings for welding, painting, and warehousing, connected by an outdoor yard. Approximately 35-40 mechanics work in the area.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
