      Description

      Job Objective:

      To assist in the efficient and correct completion of various industrial services work as assigned. Position reports to the Industrial Services Supervisor/Director.

      Essential Job Functions:

      • Knows and understands the Goodwill Mission: “Strengthen communities by empowering individuals and families through education, training and job placement.”
      • Learn and correctly use production methods and quality standards to complete production for a variety of assembly, rework, packaging, mailing and inspection operations common to the Industrial Services Department.
      • Personal protective equipment must be worn on jobs as required.
      • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

      Qualifications


      Required Skills/Abilities:

      • Ability to learn production procedures for a variety of light industrial jobs.
      • Good manual dexterity.
      • Ability to count.
      • Good eyesight.
      • Ability to meet acceptable levels of production.
      • Ability to use various small hand tools.
      • Ability to sit upright in a chair or stand for 4 hours at a time.

      Equipment Used:

      • Small hand tools.
      • Various light industrial machines as required by job.

      Physical Requirements:

      • Light industrial area with some heat, fumes, and noise, depending on job.
