      York Technical College, a member of the South Carolina Technical and Comprehensive Education System, is a public, two-year institution of higher education that offers a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Through maximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties and of the State.

      The Assessment Center Proctor performs the following functions:
      • Administer and proctor course tests, college placement tests, and other assessments while adhering to the specific requirements of the NCTA standards and guidelines.
      • Provide operational instructions for exams to each student, administer exams according to guidelines of each unique exam provider, activate computerized exams, and actively monitor students taking exams.
      • Troubleshoot computer problems and update testing software as appropriate.
      • Uphold security and integrity of tests and maintain up-to-date test files.
      • Performs other related duties as required.
      • Some evenings and occasional Saturdays are required.
      An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
      • Maintain procedural continuity and provide quality service to instructors, students, and community members.
      • Attention to detail, accuracy, and test integrity are of primary importance.
      • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are essential with strong organizational, communication, problem solving, and computer skills
