Job Description

- Assist with completing property tax exemption applications
- Assist with monitoring solar energy production.
- Assist with preparing replacement reserve draws.
- Assist with filing and tracking insurance claims.
- Assist and complete compliance reporting including:
- Transferring financial information onto lender/investor forms
- Running occupancy reports
- Verifying completeness of reports
- Property site visits can occur but are not mandatory. Our properties are within 30-35 miles of the Mutual Housing headquarters. If willing to travel, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Deep experience in low-income communities, foster youth system, or current foster youth, highly preferred
- Enrolled in a college, university, or degree program and at least 18 years of age
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Novice level or higher Microsoft Office skills
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required sit, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- The employee is routinely required to stand and walk.
- The employee is occasionally required to work in outdoor weather conditions.
- May require lifting of up to 25 pounds
Description
Title: Asset Management Intern
Location: Sacramento/Yolo Counties

Reports To: Director Asset Management
Hourly Wage: $20.00
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt, Part time (20-29 hours per week)
SUMMARY
The Asset Management Intern will be involved in the oversight and operations of sustainable multifamily housing affordable for low-income households in our service area. The Intern will gain exposure to a professional office work environment by supporting staff with selected tasks and various routine aspects of the operations of an affordable housing portfolio including financial analysis, creating property operating budgets, project management of rehab projects, sustainability initiatives, and portfolio life cycle events.

The asset management internship is a hybrid work experience. At least 2-3 days must be spent in the Mutual Housing Sacramento headquarters office.
