      Asset Manager, Northern Region (Auckland and Whang ā rei)

      Build your Asset Management consulting career, working in one of our Beca Northern region offices (Auckland / Whangārei) as part of the Project Strategy and Delivery team. You will be working on a diverse range of client projects and portfolios in the Northern region and nationally, with the opportunity to significantly develop your asset advisory career delivering asset consulting advice and services to our clients.

      The region’s towns and cities are experiencing significant growth, redevelopment, and infrastructure re-build, making this a unique opportunity to make a difference across the region. You will be part of a growing, diverse team of asset managers, cost managers, valuers, and project managers. You will be delivering consulting services across some of the largest growth projects in the Northern Region and surrounding regions including defence, water, education and community projects and transport and infrastructure developments.

      In this role, you will have plenty of scope for success and we are looking for a high performing professional with a real passion for asset management. You will understand, and be experienced in, high level concepts and the bigger picture of asset use across diverse portfolios and be passionate about applying logical asset performance and management methods, with a strong ‘client first’ focus.

      You will enjoy working in a team, that is able to work autonomously and who are all passionate about learning, thinking laterally and delivering. You will have the ability to connect with others (both team members and external clients) and be able to describe complex methods and concepts in simple terms. You will enjoy building relationships and understand asset delivery requirements, as well as displaying sound, robust commercial judgement.

      This role may suit candidates from a broad range of backgrounds, including engineers who may be seeking a shift in career pathway into more of a commercial environment. While the role covers a range of sectors, a background in buildings, civil infrastructure or transport, as well as experience across Building Surveying, Property & Facilities Management and/or Data Analytics fields in the region would be an advantage. You will have demonstrated experience, ideally between 2 and 5 years within a consultancy or construction related role across the asset performance and management lifecycle, at either strategic or tactical level, and the ability to work with others to solve complex client problems.

      Ultimately this is a key role to strengthen our Northern Asset and Cost Advisory business. We are looking for a driven and commercially minded professional consultant with a collaborative approach, who is credible. You will be part of a close-knit team who like to have fun along the way, so a good sense of humour will hold you in good stead.
