      Enhances and supports the safety and security of customers and team members at a single unit. Provides a deterrent to inappropriate behavior within the store by frequently engaging all persons in their work area. Identifies safety, shrink and security concerns through observation, assessments, audits and inspections. Assists, as necessary, with investigations, interviews and apprehensions. Practices 200% Safety Accountability (self and others).

      What You'll be Doing:

      • Maintains a professional, physical presence at the assigned area(s) within the store to deter inappropriate behavior.

      • Checks packages as necessary.

      • Alerts Certified Asset Protection Team Members to suspicious persons and/or situations and may assist in apprehension as required.

      • Performs front end lot checks in order to identify & resolve safety/security concerns.

      • Conducts assessments and audits as assigned, identifying shrink, safety, security and fire prevention concerns.

      • Responds to emergency situations and is CPR/AED trained and certified.

      • Maintains security of entries/exits as required by store hours and conducts regular perimeter inspections to ensure proper door security

      • Maintains a safe work area, and reports safety concerns to appropriate leadership personnel for resolution.

      • Triages customer complaints/concerns and contacts appropriate person(s) for resolution.

      • Assists in conducting investigations and interviews as necessary.

      • Utilizes various computer applications to monitor and respond to alarm and exception activity.

      • Thoroughly documents Asset Protection activity within the case management system.

      • May be required to testify in court if necessary.

      What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

      • High school graduate or equivalent.
      • Prior asset protection experience preferred
      • Ability to learn and use self-defense techniques

      • Basic understanding of behavioral safety strategies

      • Ability to learn and understand fire and security systems, including CCTV, Burglar Alarms, Fire Systems and Alarms and EAS Systems

      • Experience with office technology tools (current examples include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

      • Basic understanding of the criminal and civil justice systems

      • Basic understanding of Organized Retail Crime (ORC)

      • Basic understanding of product protection strategies

      • CPR/AED trained and certified

      • Ability to maintain a professional appearance including cleanliness of uniforms

      • Commit to reliable and consistent attendance.
