      **What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):**
      - Represent the Department of Children Youth and Families in child welfare cases, including dependency and guardianship matters
      - Evaluate evidence for legal sufficiency to support court intervention
      - Prepare witnesses and evidence for hearings or trials
      - Consult with social workers and other agency employees regarding case management
      - Communicate with other attorneys and guardians ad litem to resolve issues related to cases

      **What is Required (Qualifications):**
      - Must be a graduate of a law school accredited by the ABA or completed the WSBA's Rule 6 Law Clerk Program
      - Licensed to practice law in Washington State or actively pursuing admission
      - Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced litigation environment
      - Strong communication skills with various client agency representatives and colleagues
      - Commitment to public service and ethical legal practice

      **How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):**
      - Graduation from law school in 2024 or 2025
      - Experience handling contested matters and presenting evidence in court
      - Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing case assignments
