      Position: Assistant Coordinator - Middle School Competitive Robotics

      Location: Fort Couch

      Dates of Assignment: : 2025-2026 School Year

      Summary:

      As Assistant Coordinator, you will help expand our fun, engaging, and rewarding middle school competitive robotics program, working to inspire and motivate 10 to 15 teams of students through our upcoming competition season. You will take an active role in managing the program calendar, communicating with teams, facilitating workshops and scrimmages, and working with the USC Robotics program leadership to plan and coordinate events.

      Responsibilities:

      • Assist as needed at robotics workshops and internal scrimmages, held 2-3 times a week, during the fall season (late August to early December).
      • Assistance needed with: supervision of students, setup and cleanup of fields and workspaces, timekeeping and scorekeeping for scrimmages.
      • Attend league scrimmages and competitions on Saturdays during the fall season
      • Assist as needed during the spring intensive program during the spring (late March to early June), performing similar duties.
      • Help administer the program: registering latecomer students, manage team roster changes, maintain program calendar and scheduling of events and workshops.

      Qualifications:

        • No prior experience with robotics or programming is necessary, but any such experience is a strong plus.
        • Background in coaching youth sports or team activities, teaching, or facilitating camps or workshops.
        • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
