Job Description

- Interprets and implements government (local, state and federal) regulatory requirements and creates/publishes internal guidance and direction to advise employees accordingly
- Assists in the development of annual budget for risk associated programs
- Assists the Corporate Risk Manager in benchmarking, developing, and implementing risk-related policies, procedures, and best practices
- Supports creating and facilitating employee training on risk-related material
- Maintains records as required, and provides progress reports to management
- Assists in the creation and maintenance of a company-wide emergency response plan, and assures appropriate individuals are trained in the processes and procedures
- Participates in Corporate Risk Committee meetings and training
- Participates in insurer and broker stewardship and renewal meetings
- Serves as a liaison with internal departments regarding risk exposures and insurance related concerns
- Conducts periodic risk prevention audits of company assets
- Works with and oversees appraisal audit vendors. Compiles results data and provides reports to senior management
- Participates in the company’s business continuity disaster recovery planning
- Researches and prepares risk-related SOP and WI drafts
- Bachelor degree in Risk Management strongly preferred
- 5+ years specialized experience in Risk Management
- CRM (Certified Risk Manager) certification strongly preferred
- Experience in and/or knowledge of OSHA, Dept. of Labor and Industry (federal and state) standards
- Required to communicate effectively through verbal and written forms. Verbal presentations are required to a significant extent
- Proficiency in MS Office Software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
