Assistant Cyber Underwriter

Salary £25,000 - £35,000

We are expanding our cyber insurance offering in line with our ambition to be a leading provider of cyber insurance within the UK! As part of our ambitious growth plans, we have created a new opportunity for an assistant underwriter to join our rapidly growing regional Cyber underwriting team.

A bit about the job:

• Work as assistant Cyber Underwriter who operates within agreed guidelines and authority levels to profitably grow the cyber book of business
• To be a great communicator who regularly has meaningful face to face meetings with brokers and/or customers to build their confidence in us and to make us their cyber insurer of choice
• To deal end to end with brokers or customers cyber business - including handling new business, renewals and MTA's
• Using data insight to drive cross sell activity across our SME and mid-market business. Providing support to, and acting as a referral point for, our generalist underwriting teams
• Assisting the Regional Cyber Underwriting Manager in delivering our financial targets and promoting Aviva's cyber credentials

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• UK SME Cyber insurance underwriting (or broking) experience preferable, but not essential
• Knowledge of, and interest in, current and emerging cyber-crime trends and risk management
• Confident communication and relationship management skills
• Good negotiation and presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as you will have to work within a close-knit team

• Starting salary between £25,000 and £35,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
