      General Notes

      Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular in-office hours. Travel is required.

      Responsibilities

      • Manage Annual Fund donor acknowledgement triggers, cycles and calendar; collaborate with Coordinator, Development Communications to plan and execute strategic donor touchpoints (including digital and physical collateral) to properly thank and recognize Annual Fund donors for their support. Track results to help inform and drive decisions about future initiatives and strategies.
      • Develop, deploy and ensure the fulfillment of tailored strategies to effectively steward Annual Fund donors at the Longhorn through Legacy levels as well as the Longhorn Foundation Student Member program.
      • Coordinate annual Membership Kit production and fulfillment (Annual Fund and Student Membership) with in-house designers and/or third-party vendors.
      • Oversee and manage Longhorn Foundation Student Member program and stewardship, including benefits/event planning and fulfillment, reporting and communications; identify new or enhanced ways to steward student members.
      • Plan and execute the annual Thanks Day initiative in partnership with Central Development.
      • Assist in the education of Annual Fund membership benefits to acquire new donors, retain existing donors and/or move donors to their next gift.
      • Oversee endowment donor stewardship, including reporting and donor communications; identify new or enhanced ways to steward endowment donors.
      • Coordinate the overall production and dissemination of customized non-annual acknowledgment letters on behalf of the VP and Director of Athletics and/or Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director.
      • Maintain an inventory of and manage re-ordering for Longhorn Foundation stationery, including birthday cards, staff notecards, blank cards, etc.
      • Manage a running inventory of donor awards and stewardship items; manage re-ordering or replenishing award items as needed.
      • Assist Director, Donor Relations and Special Events with giving society (DeLoss Dodds Leadership Team and United Texas Circle) stewardship planning and fulfillment, as well as all Longhorn Foundation benefits-related event planning and management.
      • Assist Director, Donor Relations and Special Events in planning and executing an annual Donor Appreciation Month tailgate event and special benefits schedule.
      • Support gameday management of hospitality clubs and spaces for football, basketball and baseball.

      Required Qualifications

      Bachelor's degree. Two years of experience in development, donor relations and/or stewardship or in an applicable intercollegiate athletics position. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, along with a demonstrated ability to proactively think critically, and balance concurrent priorities. Strong attention to detail and a high standard of excellence. Ability to be flexible when confronted with a multitude of changing priorities. Must be able to multi-task and effectively prioritize multiple events, requests, and situations. Ability to work in a team environment where a project’s success is determined by both the individual and team’s efforts. Excellent communications skills, verbal and written. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office software. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

      Preferred Qualifications

      More than one year experience in executing and planning events, and/or developing high-end special events/dinners or related experience in higher education or intercollegiate athletics. Stewardship fulfilment experience. Experience with budget management and vendor contract management. A familiarity with athletics fundraising.

      Driving Required

      This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
