      Job Title: Assistant Director Operations Control Center Flight Following

      Department: OCC

      Reports To: DOCC

      Work Schedule: Full Time

      Summary:

      The Assistant Director of OCC Flight Following is responsible for the management and supervision of all Kalitta Air Flight Following operations. Works closely with the DO and DOCC to ensure the OCC operates safely, efficiently, and in conjunction with company policies and procedures.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Manage all aspects of Kalitta Air's Flight Following operation and maintain a close connection to the daily operation.
      • Supervises OCC Managers and helps to ensure their duties and responsibilities are executed properly.
      • Works as a liaison between Kalitta Air, its vendors, customers, and other strategic partners as required.
      • Coordinates with other departments to ensure best practices are utilized for the most efficient operation possible.
      • Provides briefings to senior management on the daily Flight Following operations of the OCC.
      • Supervises all Flight Following operations training aids, directives, reports, forms, relevant manuals, and other support materials required for training and day-to-day operations.
      • Helps to develop budget and staffing requirements for Flight Following operations.
      • Monitors Flight Following operation performance and provide updates to senior management.
      • Identifies and/or reacts to operational issues, and deploys corrective actions as required.

      Education:

      High School Diploma or GED College Degree Preferred

      Qualifications:

      • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
      • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office)
      • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and a positive attitude
      • Must be able to work independently and to carry out duties to completion within parameters of instructions given
      • Excellent organizational skills
      • Five (5) years of 121 airline operations experience
      • Three (3) years in a management or leadership position

      Language/ Mathematical Skills:

      Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English
