      Job Summary

      The Assistant Director will serve as one of several main points of contact for all prospective and newly admitted students to the law school. With a focus on providing extraordinary customer service, the Assistant Director will manage recruitment, admissions, and yield processes for our in-person JD programs, online graduate degree and certificate programs, and support enrollment and retention efforts for new and continuing students in our online graduate programs.

      The Assistant Director will support the admissions team in meeting enrollment goals for all our programs by gaining expertise in our databases and processes, managing a variety of projects, representing the law school at off-campus or online recruitment events, and evaluating and rendering decisions on admissions applications for all law school programs.

      Essential Functions

      1. Manage the recruitment, admissions, and yield processes for our Online Master of Legal Studies, Online Master of Laws, and online certificate programs.
      2. Provide enrollment support to all online graduate law programs by advising and counseling continuing graduate students as they plan their quarterly class schedules.
      3. Review and recommend decisions on JD applicant files and conduct JD candidate interviews.
      4. Represent the law school at off-campus or online recruitment events for JD and online graduate law programs. Oversee planning and executing all admissions in-person and online prospective student and yield events.
      5. Assist the Assistant Dean of Enrollment Management and Associate Director of Admissions with various projects and day-to-day office operations.
      6. Assist other colleagues where needed – admissions marketing and communication, recruitment/yield for online graduate law programs, etc.
      7. Edit the admitted student portal and admissions webpages as needed.
      8. Other duties as assigned.

      Required Qualifications

      • A minimum of a bachelor degree or Equivalent
      • Experience not required.
      • Some evenings and weekends required.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Ability to effectively manage projects, meet hard deadlines, and work effectively with others.
      • Possess a team-oriented approach.
      • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple competing priorities.
      • Exemplary customer service, communication, organization, and time management skills strongly preferred.

      Physical Requirements

      • Typically sitting at a desk/table.

      Additional Information

      This position is classified as Exempt, grade J. Compensation for this grade ranges from $47,490 to $71,230 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
