      The opportunity

      The Assistant Director of Military Education Benefits – Veterans Affairs Processing, will oversee the responsibilities related to the enrollment reporting in Enrollment Manager for Chapters 30, 33, 35 and 1606 for the online and campus student population of SNHU. The Assistant Director will engage and collaborate with the department and university partners to achieve solutions to improve the military student experience. The Assistant Director will also provide management and oversight of military benefit education specialists adhering to SNHU’s core values and is dedicated to meeting the requirements of the University’s needs, mission. Oversight is within the daily operations involved in the student experience.

      This is a remote friendly position (#LI-Remote) and you will report to the Director of Military Education Benefits.

      In this Role You'll Get To:

      • You will lead important projects to optimize the military student experience processing military benefits.
      • You will oversee and maintain the Enrollment Manager Education Platform Portal for reporting student enrollment.
      • You will build a partnership and communicate with representatives of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the State Approving Agency (SAA).
      • You will assist with VA Compliance Surveys, audits, catalog approvals, and VA reporting requirements.
      • You will oversee training modules for new team members and Compass Learning.
      • You will collaborate within the team to improve and design all daily practices.
      • You will guide excellence in service through ongoing department support and collaboration.
      • You will establish, maintain, and advance quality assurance for military benefit processing.
      • You will represent the Military Benefit Team in department and university projects to enhance the student experience.
      • You will develop your own leadership skills through coaching, goal setting and performance management.
      • You will provide direct, open, and honest feedback to promote engagement, collaboration, and communication to achieve success.
      • You will perform other related responsibilities to support Military Benefits, Student Financial Services, and University goals.

      What we're Looking For:

      • A Bachelor’s degree.
      • Three years of experience in military benefit processing including Enrollment Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
      • Oral and written skills.
      • A thoughtful mindset to promote and advance daily operations and practice.
      • Experience managing a team.
      • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours.
