This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.

UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School offers top-ranked graduate programs that focus on developing well-rounded leaders, thoroughly prepared to enter professional roles in business and accounting when their studies are complete. We achieve this goal by upholding a rigorous curriculum, taught by leading scholars in the field; by focusing on discipline-specific courses, as well as courses in leadership, communications, and professionalism: and by giving students hands-on knowledge with the use of case studies and simulations.

Reporting to the Director of Academics and Operations, the Assistant Director of Student Engagement serves as a primary point of contact for students in Master's programs, including the Master of Accounting (MAC), servicing students in multiple delivery formats (campus and online). They provide counsel and guidance, working in a team environment to monitor students' progress, intervene where appropriate, and refer students to seek assistance from various internal or external support mechanisms as necessary. They are responsible for building a sense of community. This position is responsible for managing key working relationships with constituents across the business school, campus, and the local community.

The Assistant Director ensures that students have all the necessary information and resources to enter and exit the program effectively. They are responsible for developing the orientation experience for both formats, including online courses and live presentations. The Assistant Director's offboarding efforts prepare students for being engaged after graduation, providing the information they need to exit the program and become connected with other Kenan-Flagler alumni. This position is also responsible for surveying and analyzing student feedback. They recommend changes based on the analysis and in consideration of school strategy, competitive benchmarking, and the changing business environment.
