      Essential Job Functions

      • Prepares and executes non-curriculum events, such as corporate training programs, industry events and educational programming
      • Supervises the planning, coordination and execution of CFIT events, such as admissions open houses and family weekend to support university programs
      • Assists with periodic food safety and sanitation audits of culinary labs to verify compliance with university, local and state health standards
      • Provides operational support and responds to the needs of faculty and students to support smooth delivery of curriculum and extra-curricular activities, including maintaining appropriate equipment and tool inventories in CFIT labs
      • Distributes work assignments, monitors progress and provides guidance, as needed, to other department staff
      • Assists in the preparation and monitoring of department budget
      • Supervises and develops the department staff, facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities, department goals and established university, campus and department policies and procedures
      • Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
      • Performs other duties as assigned


      Required Qualifications

      • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
      • Moderate amount of experience working in event management or other related experience
      • Obtain and maintain food safety managers certification approved by Conference for Food Protection


      Preferred Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or in a related field of study

      Please note: Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
