Nursing | College AdministrationThis position will serve as the Assistant Director to the Director of The Golden Buckeye Center for Dementia Caregiving at The Ohio State University College of Nursing and helps provide world-renowned experts and researchers who offer trainings, resources, and research to build connection, competence, and confidence as we support families and formal care partners across the state of Ohio.
The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting with and guiding the development of organizational strategic plans for The Golden Buckeye Center for Dementia Caregiving. Will provide strategic planning, analysis and ongoing operations of the Golden Buckeye Center as directed. Reporting and analytics support is provided to inform strategic planning, program evaluation, and business operations; project management support is provided as a means of executing on the strategic plan. Additionally, administrative support is provided to directors in the form of overseeing statewide training and meeting event scheduling, setting and communicating meeting agendas, and leading/co-leading meetings with partners and other constituents. Engages with faculty and students to facilitate joint center programming and service learning activities.
Provide community outreach activities to help develop and coordinate community engagement and educational programs that will assist in addressing the needs of the Golden Buckeye Center and community and surrounding areas. Creates, plans, and delivers programs to engage and support the community, students, and employees. Contributes to and promotes grant writing, fundraising and volunteer recruitment, including identifying applicable grant funding opportunities. May involve researching and implementing community engaged learning programs. Develops relationships with community leaders and can serve as the organization's liaison with volunteers, media relations, funders, and the community. Responsible for supervising employees and providing annual performance reviews.
Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5 years of relevant experience
Desired Qualifications: gerontology specialty or certification; supervisory and program management experience; experience working with non-profit organizations, grant writing experience, and excellent communication skills.
