- Report to the Associate Dean/Director of the Academic Advising Center
- Supervise and provide professional support to the Administrative & Records Assistants
- Serve as liaison to university departments and administrative offices
- Oversee budget management and office operations
- Coordinate events, including orientations and academic ceremonies
- Support Pre-Health Program logistics and initiatives
- Ensure timely communication of academic policies and procedures
- Lead efforts to enhance academic support infrastructure
- Maintain advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Mail Merge); learn new technologies as needed, and manage the department website
- Represent the office at occasional evening and weekend events
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
- Minimum five years of supervisory experience, preferably in higher education
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in event coordination and administrative management
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team member with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Boston College's mission, culture, and academic programs is a plus

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $63,800 to $79,750; salary commensurate with relevant experience.The Assistant Director, Operations & Academic Programs, provides operational leadership for the Associate Deans and the Academic Advising Center in the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences. This role directly supervises four Administrative and Records Assistants and ensures smooth coordination of office operations, communication of academic policies, and execution of student-centered initiatives. The Assistant Director also partners with the Associate Deans to support key programs such as student orientations, academic review, registration, and web communications. Additionally, the Assistant Director oversees academic events and programs hosted by the Deans' office.
