- Assist in the planning and implementation of domestic and international recruitment activities, including, but not limited to Hawkeye Visit Days, Admitted Student Days, Top Scholars Day, Transfer Days, Preview Iowa, Business Visit Day, Next Step Iowa, special recruiting presentations, Admission Information Sessions, and daily visits with prospective students and parents. Some recruiting events will require occasional time outside the 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- Lead Presenter on Monday/Friday Daily Visits
- Primary lead and presenter on all Hawkeye Visit Day Presentations, majors fair and tour coordination.
- Supervise the Business Student Ambassador Organization (BSAO), including hiring and training Ambassadors on admissions requirements, academic programs, and tour presentations.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of specific outreach programs and recruiting materials for K-12 Programs, FBLA and DECA Fairs/Conferences, Community Colleges, Alumni Networks, Community partners and Tippie Gateway program.
- Collaborate with Tippie and campus partners to develop and implement programs and initiatives aimed at supporting students and creating welcoming and respectful Tippie community.
- Assist with May and December commencement activities and summer new student orientation programs such as Becoming a Hawkeye Days.
- Assist in the preparation, utilization, and monitoring of the BSAO and PCSA budget.
- Provide support to Associate Director monitoring Admissions budget and placing Swag orders.
- General supervision of the Business Student Ambassador Organization (BSAO) and direct supervision to President and Executive Team.
- Co-supervision of the Pomerantz Center Student Assistants (PCSAs).
- General supervision is received from the Associate Director, Undergraduate Admissions.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Typically 1 or more years in a student services role supporting undergraduate success such as academic advising, academic support and retention, residence life, admission counseling, career advising, student life or similar.
- Working knowledge of and experience in program management and/or event planning and execution.
- Expert knowledge of and ability to communicate effectively with individuals and large groups both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in MS Office computer applications.
- Demonstrated constructive and collaborative relationship building skills with a variety of individuals and groups, including peers, leadership and external constituents.
- Valid US driver’s license and ability to meet and maintain UI Fleet Safety Standards.
- Reasonable experience in higher education academic advising with responsibility for a caseload of students in an ongoing advising capacity.
- Reasonable experience in student organization supervision.
- Reasonable experience with planning, implementing, and assessing admissions programs and their impact.
- Master’s degree in business, student affairs, or a related field.
- Knowledge of University of Iowa policies and procedures related to undergraduate students.

The Tippie College of Business seeks candidates for an Assistant Director in their Undergraduate Program Office (UPO). The position is responsible for supervising the student ambassadors within the Business Student Ambassador Organization (BSAO) and serving as a member of the admissions team. Responsibilities will require occasional time outside the 8:00am to 5:00pm work day to support recruiting activities and events.

The Assistant Director for Undergraduate Recruiting will support the UPO’s culture of optimism, collaboration, proactive problem solving and works collaboratively with multiple constituents within the Tippie College of Business and the University including International Programs and the Office of Admissions.

This position is eligible for hybrid work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.
Salary: $50,000-$60,000
