The Atlantic is seeking an assistant editor to join the newsroom. This role will be assigned to the Politics, Global, and Ideas team . This editor will work closely with senior editors to facilitate editorial processes, including fact-checking and producing online stories, will attend daily editorial meetings, and may have the opportunity to write and edit pieces on occasion.
Candidates should be highly organized and motivated, with strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be creative, conscientious, and highly adaptable. Impeccable judgment is a must. This editor will be expected to collaborate regularly with colleagues across the newsroom, and therefore must be able to work quickly and flexibly in a dynamic environment.

Salary minimum: $55,000; Salary maximum: $65,000
