- Preparation of Weekly and Monthly Operational Performance reporting for both GXO and the customer
- Provide variance analysis with adequate commentary and aid operational management in the interpretation of results
- Review Core Payroll files ahead of final approval. Working with the on-site and central HR team to resolve queries, effective communication of issues, and management of over / under payments
- Prepare full balance sheet reconciliations in which all accounts are reconciled monthly with risk and opportunities clearly identified
- Production of interim forecasts and support Finance Manager with the Annual Budget
- Proven experience in a similar management accounting role
- Part qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent and currently studying towards completion
- Experience in building strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with the principles of open book accounting would be beneficial

We are currently looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join us at our Sainsbury’s site in Northampton. You’ll be supporting the Regional Finance Manager to deliver an excellent financial service to both our customer and the internal management team. Working on an Open Book Contract, the purpose of the role is to deliver Business focused “best practice” reporting and insight to operational performance. To successfully deliver the provision of financial information including weekly costings, monthly accounts, forecasts, KPIs and balance sheet reconciliations in a time efficient and consistent manner along with weekly and monthly customer reporting requirements.
This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis, the hours of work are Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 . However, we do require a level of flexibility - this is logistics after all!
