Job Description

Be part of a high-performance culture in the following position: Assistant Fund Accountant.Minimum requirements:
•Namibian Citizenship.
•Grade 12
•Studying towards a relevant diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance.
•2-3 years’ experience in an accounting environment, preferably Pension Fund Accounting
•Computer literate.
•Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
•Must have a strong accounting background.
•Must be analytical, attentive to detail, a self-starter and can work under pressure; and
•Must be a team player and be able to work independently.
Duties and responsibilities include:
•Allocation of investments on disbursements for investment clients.
•Monitoring and allocation of inflows and outflows on the Pension Fund bank accounts including investigating any unidentified movements.
•Prepare monthly investment statements for investment clients.
•Prepare payments to various 3rd party clients as per agreed upon SLA.
•Prepare monthly PAYE recon for payments and submission of stamp duty to Receiver of Revenue.
•Preparing monthly investment recons in accordance with accounting requirements.
•Preparing reports and payments for submission to NAMFISA.
•Preparing cash flow reports on all schemes and monthly bank reconciliations.
•Preparing monthly reconciliations and follow up on reconciling items.
•Prepare year end reconciliations for year-end audit purposes.
•Can easily adapt to a different working environment and should be a quick learner.Skills
