High school diploma or equivalent
Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Must be First-Aid-CPR-AED Certified
Up-to-date Covid-19 vaccination (boosted if eligible)
A background check and sexual harassment training are also required
Bachelor’s degree in physical education or related area; any level of coaching certification from a recognized sport governing body
Length of season- Approximately 4 months (Mid February-June (June-Championship game)
Two-hour practices- two days per week (Wednesdays (4:45-6:45) and Fridays (2:00-4:00). Must be present at all games.
Pay rate: 2,000 per season

Abraham Joshua Heschel School, NYC, is currently seeking a pitching coach to join our varsity baseball program and work alongside our staff. The ideal candidate will be able to assist in creating comprehensive practice plans and demonstrate an understanding of skill acquisition as it relates to pitching mechanics, development, and injury prevention. The pitching coach will also be responsible for assisting in game management decisions.
REPORTS to: The Director of Athletics and Head of School
FUNCTION: The Pitching Coach will aid in creating an environment that reflects the values and goals of the Heschel Athletics Department. The Pitching Coach is also responsible for collaborating with the Head Coach and Assistant Coach in organizing team practices, travel logistics and game management decisions. To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the essential duties with care and compassion for all of our student-athletes. They must model appropriate sports-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.
