    • QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires knowledge of proper warehousing and storage methods and procedures as well as the safe use and operation of warehouse equipment and tools; this position also requires knowledge of record keeping.

      Must possess the skill to assist in coordination of the receipt, storage, and delivery of supplies, materials, equipment, and/or food goods into and out of assigned warehouse facility; inspect and check items received against purchase orders and invoices, and report discrepancies to appropriate authority; maintain stock control of warehouse goods and materials; maintain stock control of warehouse on-line electronics inventory system; direct routine and special deliveries; confer with school site personnel regarding deliveries, requisitions, and general warehouse procedures and operations; participate in all facets of warehousing activity operations and delivery activities; prepare basic reports and assist supervisor with various activities related to warehousing operations; direct and participate in loading and unloading trucks and/or delivery vehicles; work at any assigned (Food Service) location.

      Must possess the ability to make recommendations regarding warehouse procedures and needs; direct and assist in periodic and annual inventories of all supplies and materials in assigned District warehouse; operate and train staff in the safe and proper operation of warehouse equipment and tools; maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) file on all hazardous materials ordered by the District; perform related duties as required.

      EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Three years of experience in warehouse, storekeeping, or stock control are required. Computer data input and reporting experience is also required. Graduation from high school or equivalent.

      MUST POSSESS AND MAITAIN A VALID CLASS “B” DRIVER’S LICENSE WITH AN AIR BRAKE ENDORSEMENT ISSUED BY THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES.

      MUST SUBMIT A DMV H-6 (10 YEAR DRIVING RECORD) WITH APPLICATION.

      A CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECK AND PRE-EMPLOYMENT MEDICAL ASSESSMENT WILL BE REQUIRED OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT.


      DUTIES OF POSITION: Under direction oversee, coordinate, and participate in the receipt, storage, loading, unloading, delivery, and inventory of District materials, supplies, mail, equipment, and food goods at assigned District warehouse facility and to maintain accompanying records as required. Employees in this classification receive limited supervision within a framework of standard policies and procedures. Successful candidate will direct and oversee the work of subordinate warehouse workers in a lead capacity. Positions allocated to this classification function at the Nutrition Services facility. This position exercises responsibility for maintaining stock and inventory control of warehouse goods and materials and for providing direction to staff involved in warehouse activities and operations.

      STARTING SALARY: $4,861.60 (monthly)

      NUMBER OF MONTHS: 12 (to begin as soon as possible)

      NUMBER OF HOURS: 8 (daily working hours to be 6:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)
