- Managing the financial control for the Group's branch strategy; focussed on delivering month end by making sure in month activity has been reflected accurately in the Project and General Ledger.
- Providing oversight of the balance sheet to ensure accruals and provisions are sufficient and supported.
- Working closely with the Finance Business Partner to support forward forecasting and management of risks and opportunities.
- Drafting reporting to provide analysis and insight for the Finance Business Partner and Programme Contacts.
- Co-ordinating and delivering quarterly reporting to Tax and Group Cost Management.
- Collaborating across team to deliver Process Improvements.
- You will be have or be studying for an accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Be able to handle data and combine data from multiple sources - manipulating it in Excel through the use of pivot tables, SUMIFS and VLOOKUPs.
- Be able to work collaboratively and enjoy collaborating with stakeholders from different areas.
- Be curious - do not accept the status quo. Challenge the way we currently do things and look for ways we can improve them.
- Familiarity with SAP Accounting Software would be preferable but not essential.

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in our Bristol office
About this opportunity
Sitting within Central Finance, this role is essential to the Financial Control for our Places Investment initiative and supports a Business Partner who is Group Finance’s front line into the business. Financial Control is fundamental to ensuring that we account for our Investment costs accurately, we are interlocked on the impact our Investment Initiatives will have on the Group’s cost base and we are able to provide insight into the business on Risks and Opportunities to support key decision making.
