      Position Summary
      We are looking for an Assistant Marketing Manager, based at our Mississauga office. In this role, you will work with a dynamic team to grow a portfolio of 9 widely distributed dry pet food brands including Purina ONE®, Beyond®, Beneful® and Cat Chow®. The Assistant Marketing Manager will lead all lower funnel trial programs for the portfolio and will assist the Marketing Managers in launching new innovations and campaigns.       A day in the life of an Assistant Marketing Manager:
      As an Assistant Marketing Manager, you will be working on a variety of projects across the portfolio. This role is a great opportunity to build strategic recommendations including leading the lower funnel promotional plan development. You will also own execution of all trial programs, assist with product launch commercialization, and provide overall support to the team across various initiatives. You will be working daily with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams, with lots of autonomy and support to thrive.

      You will also:

      • Provide fact-based analytical data to support consumer and customer initiatives and to drive portfolio profitability and growth
      • Manage the end-to-end execution of key trial programs, including promotional in-packs & IRCs, sampling, couponing and digital offers, collaborating and influencing effectively across various stakeholders to execute with excellence
      • Assist with product launch commercialization including packaging & product development, launch presentations, and sales samples
      • Collaborate with shopper marketing to develop all retailer communication for the portfolio, including e-retailer and in-store assets
      • Work with the e-Commerce team to develop eContent to promote products and drive purchase online
      • Prepare and present regular competitive performance reviews vs. KPIs using available data tools such as AC Nielsen, to provide a complete understanding of category dynamics and business health
      • Lead budget management for the portfolio across 9 brands
      • Leverage brand, consumer, and marketplace data to prepare the annual lower funnel promotional plan for presentation and alignment with senior leadership
      • Support and collaborate with internal team members and external stakeholders across various initiatives and high-profile launches

You will already have great project management and analytical skills coupled with your highly organised, conscientious approach. Pro-activity, tenacity and enthusiasm are essential, as will be your ability to understand and work within our competitive market.

      Other requirements:

      • University degree in Business or Marketing, and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • A minimum of 2 years of marketing experience required. CPG experience is strongly preferred.
      • Self-motivated, results focused with strong analytical skills and curiosity.
      • Entrepreneurial spirit and innovative thinker.
      • Passionate to build and grow brands, with ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to challenge status quo.
      • Must be able to manage change and evolve in a fast-paced dynamic and matrix environment.
      • Proficient computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other MS applications.
