Qualifications Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in Media, Advertising, Economics and/or related field Previous internship(s) in advertising or media preferred Proven analytical and communication skills Clear understanding of the media process Proficient computer skills, advance knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel required Able to work independently or as part of a team Able to work under deadline Responsibilities The following provides an overview of the responsibilities and duties of the Assistant Negotiator. This is not an all-inclusive list and variations are subject to client/category. Core Assist Negotiator(s)/Supervisor(s) on all buying responsibilities Make sure all requests from planning are signed off and forwarded to appropriate person, including the input of media goals Stewardship Allocate, adjust, and monitor schedules to ensure delivery to client goals/network guarantees Screen prime programming prior to air Work with Strategy and the Strategic Business Units to meet budget requirements and coordinate commercial scheduling Work with Analyst’s to gather data to facilitate the buying process including RFP's, circulation data, rate cards, closing dates, rep lists, etc. Aid in the development and confirmation of positioning for each ad placement, reports and securing make-goods on a quarterly basis Aid in finalizing circulation analyses reports and securing compensation for under deliveries Media Expertise Develop an understanding of the print marketplace Attend internal and external media presentations and meetings Join Analyst’s in meeting with sales representatives and vendors Compensation Range: $34,000 - $60,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
