      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Teach and develop graduate and undergraduate courses in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
      - Conduct research leading to scholarly publications in power and energy systems
      - Write proposals to obtain external funding and establish an independent research program
      - Mentor undergraduate and graduate students while evaluating their progress
      - Participate in departmental committees and contribute to faculty decision-making

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution
      - Research expertise in power and energy systems, with a promising track record in scholarly publications
      - Experience teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students
      - Ability to conduct theoretical, simulation, and experimental research in the field
      - Regular, reliable attendance and ability to work collegially with others

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Significant contributions to topics such as electric power systems, renewable energy systems, or smart grid technologies
      - Research interests in cybersecurity and/or artificial intelligence/machine learning as applied to electric power grid infrastructure
      - Experience in writing grant proposals and securing research funding
      - Teaching experience in related courses within an accredited higher education environment
      - Proven track record of mentoring students in an academic setting
