Doctorate degree or ABD in accounting or closely related field.
Publication and scholarly activity record sufficient to maintain Scholarly Academic (SA) status under AACSB accreditation standards.
Demonstrated potential to perform high quality accounting research.
Candidates without prior full-time teaching experience must have a strong interest in and be qualified to teach courses in auditing, financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, or accounting information systems / data analytics. Experienced candidates must have previously taught courses in at least one of these areas.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Accounting Department within the Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor to start August 2025. This is a full-time, 9-month appointment.
Responsibilities include conducting high quality research and teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels within the auditing, financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, or accounting information systems / data analytics areas. A successful candidate will have the potential to develop a strong research program and become an effective teacher.
