What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist with engineering assignments, data entry, data management, and report preparation
- Analyze reports, maps, drawings, and environmental data related to landfills
- Prepare construction drawings and specifications using AutoCAD or Civil 3D
- Collect and review environmental monitoring data and prepare technical reports
- Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with engineering plans and safety standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil, Geological, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering
- 0-3 years of relevant experience in engineering
- Valid California driver’s license or ability to obtain one before starting
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a Civil, Geological, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental engineering role
- Skills in AutoCAD/Civil 3D or GIS software
- 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
- Experience with landfill design, renewable energy systems, and environmental regulations
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification or Professional Engineering License
