      Responsibilities

      Related Ross is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join their team in West Palm Beach, FL. The APM will assist by executing on construction plans, deliverables, cost management and construction operations. A successful candidate will collaborate with Related Ross' design, development and financial teams along with third party architects, engineers and consultants. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

      • Support the Project Manager in successful project delivery
      • Manage or support the change order process, by updating logs, and other related activities
      • Establish, monitor, communicate and maintain project schedules
      • Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions
      • Participate in managing activities that are related to project closeout to ensure timely completion
      • Assist with the evaluation of projects for constructibility and value-engineer cost savings
      • Run small projects without supervision within comfort level

      Additional Duties

      • Perform on-site inspections of the various Subcontractors work to insure that the level of quality is being complied with
      • Effectively apply the company’s methodology and enforces project standards
      • Accountable for job-site safety compliance by employees and contractors
      • Track project schedules and long lead items to ensure on-time delivery
      • Track project costs to ensure on-budget delivery
      • Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
      • Assist with subcontractor compliance per the contract documents
      • Assist with managing general requirement costs to ensure on-budget delivery
      • Assist with the monthly reports and draws for submittal
      • Ensure timely and accurate billing/invoicing
      • Assist with proposal efforts including completing project scoping
      • Be proactive in advising senior management of issues and opportunities that arise
      • Distribute new or updated drawings and specifications
      • Develop industry relationships and expand professional networks while representing the company in a professional manner
      • Perform other related duties as assigned and assist staff as required / directed

      Qualifications

      • Degree in one of the following disciplines is preferred: Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or other related fields
      • Minimum three (3) years construction administration experience, ideally within hospitality and/or commercial renovations and new construction
      • Knowledge of architectural, structural, and MEP systems
      • Team player with strong communication and organizational skills
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
      • An entrepreneurial, self-motivated and results-oriented individual with an i nvestor/owner mentality
