      Heluna Health invites applications for an Assistant Project Manager position to support the California Department of Health Care Services’ Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI). CYBHI is a two-year, multi-department package of investments that reimagines the systems that support behavioral health (BH) and wellness for all California’s children, youth, and their families.

      The Assistant Project Manager works closely with the Project Manager to implement processes and procedures throughout the varying phases of the project. This position is responsible for providing support to the Project Manager in overseeing the day-to-day program activities and in ensuring all deliverables and expectations of the program are being met. The Assistant Project Manager will provide guidance to staff in the Project Manager’s absence and the Project Management Office (PMO).

      The Assistant Project Manager must possess outstanding project management skills, interpersonal, communication skills, and experience working with diverse communities. Must submit a resume with the application.

      This is a temporary, grant-funded, full time, benefited position. This role will be primarily onsite at fixed, mobile, and designated school site operations. Remote work may be required for this program.

      Salary range: $40.86-$45.67/hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

      • Provides leadership to project staff when Project Manager is out of office.
      • Committed member of a multidisciplinary project team in Heluna Health’s CYBHI Project Management Office; makes and tracks assignments as assigned from the Project Manager; helps the Project Manager develop/refine procedures and communication channels to improve operations; helps the Project Manager maintain excellent communication/coordination across project team and stakeholders, as well as with external partners.
      • Participates in project calls and meetings; leads meetings and presentations in the Project Manager’s absence.
      • Assists in responding to queries related to the scope of the project.
      • Assists with preparing written reports or summaries of responses to queries, situation updates, and other issues as assigned by Project Manager.
      • Assists the Project Manager in the development and oversight of budgets, implementation and monitoring of work plans, and progress reports for subgrantees.
      • Assists Project Manager in ensuring all contract deliverables are met, reporting for compliance with time frames and funding requirements, and developing recommendations for accomplishing program deliverables.

      JOB QUALIFICATIONS

      • Have a professional, positive attitude and work ethic.
      • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
      • Ability to multi-task effectively, prioritizing and managing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
      • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience required.
      • Minimum of one year of experience working in project coordination activities.
      • Knowledge, skills, and ability to use computer applications and online based systems as part of performing, documenting, and tracking daily work activities and assignments.
      • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
      • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills (technical, and non-technical).

      Education/Experience

      • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Health Care Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Health Education, Social Welfare or a closely related field preferred.
      • Two (2) year of full-time, or its equivalent, experience in a healthcare organization, public health agency or community program performing administrative or program management duties.
