      Your role

      Our Assistant Project Managers have the opportunity to work with the best in the industry to develop their project management skills on a diverse range of projects that vary in scope and complexity. In this role, you will gain exposure to and assist in the delivery of Atlantic Canada's transformative infrastructure projects. Prior experience with bridges, water/wastewater, marine, and/or renewable energy projects would be an asset.

      Responsibilities

      • Work alongside experienced project managers and the client to learn the keys to relationship building and successful project delivery
      • Support the project team by initiating and maintaining project control documents, developing progress reports, conducting follow ups on action items, coordinating various meetings, preparing material in support of project meetings and various other administrative tasks
      • Attend various project meetings, capturing accurate action items and key decisions in meeting minutes
      • Support the communication between Project Managers and project stakeholders

      Qualifications

      • A university degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, architecture or project management (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
      • Experience working on bridges, water/wastewater, renewable energy, and/or marine projects is an asset
      • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and related documentation is an asset
      • Self-motivation, initiative and an eagerness to learn and contribute to project deliverables
      • 1 to 4 years of experience delivering any aspect of engineering and construction projects
      • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
      • Previous exposure to engineering consulting, construction contract administration or project financials is an asset
      • Exceptional detail orientation, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks to meet tight deadlines and client expectations
      • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
      • Willingness to travel, on occasion to the project site and/or client office
