      Job Description:

At Warner Music Group, we’re a global collective of music makers and music lovers, tech innovators and inspired entrepreneurs, game-changing creatives and passionate team members. Here, we know that each talent makes our collective bolder and brighter. We are guided by four core principles that underpin everything we do across all our diverse businesses:

      • Music is Everything: Music is our passion, and we can never get enough. Tastes, trends, and tech will change, but great artists and songwriters will always be our driving force.

      • Global Growth, Local Expertise: Music is a global language. Through communication and collaboration, our success can come from anywhere and translate everywhere.

      • Innovation and Insight: Pushing the boundaries requires the best information and the boldest imagination. We use both to create the future.

      • Empowered by People: Like the artists we serve and the music they make, our differences make us stronger. This is a place where every talent can belong and build a career.

We remain committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. We know it fosters a culture where you can truly belong, contribute, and grow. We encourage applications from people of any age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, ethnicity, disability, veteran status, and any other characteristic or identity.

Consider a career at WMG and get the best of both worlds – an innovative global music company that retains the creative spirit of a nimble independent.

Job Title: Assistant, Press & Media

A little bit about our team:

The Press & Media Department at Atlantic Records works to maximize media coverage and, in turn, raise the overall profile of our Atlantic artists and its affiliates. This is accomplished not only by utilizing established avenues, but, perhaps more importantly, through discovering and developing new outlets to increase our artists’ visibility to the consumer. In addition, the department is responsible for drafting and issuing official media releases to the media and the company, the planning and execution of special events, maintaining up to date press assets on all active artists, and planning for certain industry awards and award shows.

The Video Promotions Department works across the entire Atlantic Music Group roster to promote our artists to video partners, like MTV, BET, Vevo and more. You will interface across various departments internally, as well as externally with managers, artists, and partners.

      Your role:

Assisting a Director of Video Promotion and a Director and Manager of Press & Media with daily requests/projects in the field of publicity, including helping to draft and edit press releases and bios, coordinating production of press images, maintaining up to date press kits and assets on a roster of artists, coordinating materials for national and local television performances, processing invoices and expenses, helping to coordinate events, scheduling and coordinating press opportunities and interviews, researching and maintaining media lists.

      Here you’ll get to:

      • Assist Publicists with various tasks, including artist phone interviews, press mailings, and researching press news and industry trades for artist/label mentions
      • Prepare and distribute press releases and media blasts
      • Circulate artist mentions, appearances, and articles
      • Prepare, organize, and send press kits to various media outlets/publications
      • Service daily music video submissions to MTV, BET, Nickelodeon and more
      • Field requests from video partners, providing information and assets to support our artists
      • Perform administrative duties associated with marketing meetings, photo shoots, television performances, concert ticket solicitations, and artist interviews

      About you:

      • You love music and have a passion for the music industry
      • You like to write and have strong writing skills
      • You have some experience in Publicity or Public Relations (internships included)
      • You have strong organization skills and attention to detail
      • You are able to multi-task and prioritize
      • Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
      • You are eager to learn

We’d love it if you also had:

      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe Photoshop, and Concur
      • Prior work experience in an administrative position and/or PR firm
      • Previous internships at a record label or PR firm would be preferred
