Job Description
- Req#: 7814
- Collating and presenting data to ensure compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975.
- The planning and scheduling of inspections at statutory and non-statutory reservoirs for all types of dams and reservoirs.
- The raising and progressing of purchase orders and general administrative support.
- Collecting critical measurements from monitoring instruments such as piezometers.
- Supporting all areas of reservoir safety.

Working within our Dams & Reservoirs team, you will assist in undertaking technical duties on statutory and non-statutory reservoirs throughout the Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy regions.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Reservoir Technician to join our team in Wrexham and the wider ST/HD area. This is an important role that provides technical and administrative support to the team of Reservoir Technicians and Reservoir Supervising Engineers.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Of course, it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity, and a caring attitude in equal weight.
You’ll ideally have an engineering qualification or significant experience within the field. You will have great communication skills both written and verbal and a good working knowledge of office IT systems.
There is the amazing development opportunity to stretch and grow your skills progressing to a Reservoir Technician with access to a variety of training courses.
You’ll need to have a full UK driving license for this role as it does involve travel and occasional overnight stays across both ST and HD regions. The role is both office based and involves working across various types of reservoirs in all weather conditions.
When working in remote locations you’ll be accountable for your own health & safety and have a duty of care to your colleagues & anyone affected by the work you do. Therefore, bringing your experience of working safely and operating compliantly is a must have for this role.
